Christine Crane

Hair Stylist

I was born in Germany and raised in Kansas. I moved to California in 1989.

I have been a stylist for 26 years.

I have been with Arezzo Salon since it opened in 2002.

I trained with Sebastian for a year. Since then, I have taken numerous cutting and color classes.

My favorite services to provide are Brazilian straightener and hair coloring. I enjoy doing men’s hair color and creating natural looking color for them. I enjoy longer cuts and styles. The most important thing to me is keeping the integrity of the hair.

My least favorite thing to do is shampoo sets!

In my free time I love to hang out with my kids, going dancing, and working in and around my home.

Charrie "Kim" Bott

Hair Stylist

I was originally born in the Philippines and lived there for most of my early childhood. My family later moved to Italy where I lived for 13 years prior to coming to the United States in 2000. Before moving to San Diego in 2004, I lived in the Washington D.C. area.

I have been a stylist since 1992.

I’m recently starting working at Arezzo Salon & Spa since March 2008 and I am excited to join this dynamic and talented group of professionals.

I’m a graduate of the Fadas de Paris School of Cosmetology in Catania , Italy . To keep up with the latest and greatest trends, I’ve attended numerous classes on color and haircuts from Goldwell, Majirell, and Schwartzkopf.

I really enjoy providing any and every hairstyling service to my clients. The most satisfying experience for me is to see my clients smile and know they feel great about how they look.

I take every opportunity to be with my husband and three children.

Molly Mariah Gilman

Hair Stylist - Owner

I've been a hair stylist since 1999 and the owner of Arezzo Salon & Spa since 2006. I've been with Arezzo Salon since October 2004.

I believe it is important to continue education to stay up to date with the latest styles and trends. I have attended a 4 day Redken symposium training program in Las Vegas and attended a 2 day I.C.O.N. academy in Los Angeles. I have attended Eufora's haircutting classes and a number of advanced color classes provided by Redken and Wella. I continuously attend Martin Parson formal styling education classes and his own line of wedding dresses runway show.

Favorite Service
I love doing highlights. Blonds are my favorite. All shades of blonde. Don't get me wrong, red heads and brunettes are fun too and also enjoy doing them. I enjoy doing formal styling for weddings and formal events.

Least Favorite
I do not do relaxers. I believe they are too harsh on the hair. I will do a perm, but I do not really enjoy them. I also believe they can be a little to much for the hair.

Free Time
I try to spend as much quality time with my daughter as I can. Especially while she is still young enough to want to hang out with mom. I like to spend time as a family with my husband, going on walks, visiting the beach, the park and shopping. I enjoy reading, going to the gym and traveling if we can find the time!

Susie Brooks

I was born in Chicago, and moved to Carlsbad, California at the age of three.

I have been a stylist for 10 years.

Terry Bissonnette

I am originally from Connecticut, and I moved to San Diego 24 years ago.

I have been a hairstylist for 33 years.

I have been with Arezzo since December 2003.

I have attended many wonderful educational programs over the years. My favorite was learning under Vicki Levanti, and attending the London Hair Show.

I enjoy all types of hair coloring I especially enjoy dimensional hair coloring that complements the face and brings out the haircut creating new looks for clients.

I don’t enjoy shampoo sets.

In my free time I raise my daughter, have fun with friends, and find new places to travel to!

I am from Oceanside, CA.

I have been a stylist since 1999.

I began working at Arezzo Salon and Spa in September 2005.

I love to change hair. I change my hair color as often as I can. I love any style, from elegant, to fun punk rocker looks. I like to keep a fun clientele that keeps me on my toes. My best trait is being able to listen to my clients, and give them a style that works with their lifestyle.

I don’t enjoy relaxing and shampoo sets.

In my free time I train for marathons and continue my education. Hanging out with friends is always a pleasure.

Eleanor Guendert

Hair Stylist

I am a native to the area, born and raised in Carlsbad.

I have been a stylist for 30 years.

I have been with Arezzo since it opened in 2003.

Ongoing education is very important to me. I have attended Sassoon Academy, Tony & Guy Academy, and Goldwell Advanced Training.

I love creating natural looking color and weaves. I also enjoy perms, cutting, and styling.

I don’t enjoy doing up-do’s.

In my free time I love to cook, exercise, and spend time with my son.

Kristen Cieslak

Hair Stylist

I grew up, and continue to live in North County, San Diego.

I have been a stylist for 15 years.

I have worked with Arezzo since 2005 and I enjoy the energy and creativity here.

I believe education is extremely important. To keep current, and in style, I am always learning new things.

I specialize in color, specifically highlights and blondes. I use L’Oreal color exclusively. I enjoy cutting and styling, as well as styling for wedding and formal events.

I do not enjoy doing perms or relaxers.

I am a single mom of 2 great kids, and I enjoy spending time doing great activities with them.

I was born in Thran, Iran. I moved to Northern California in 1979.

I have been a stylist for 25 years.

I originally had my license in Iran with Schwartzkopf. I took classes with Vidal Sasson in the U.S.

I love to do color, highlights and Brazilian straighteners.

Paul L. Davids

Hair Stylist

I was born in Long Island, New York, moved to Boston at the age of 21, and moved to Carlsbad, California in 2005.

I have been with Arezzo Salon and Spa since July 2007.

B.F.A. School of Visual Arts, NYC. Extensive training at TIGI Academy in Dallas, TX. Color training at Goldwell color institute in Maryland and Bumble and Bumble in NYC.

My favorite service is “wash and wear” hair. I enjoy educating my clients on how to better manage their hair with less effort.

I don’t do perms, up-do’s, or roller sets.

In my free time I spend a good deal of time with my two teenagers. I also surf, boogie board, body surf and snorkel. I love the water. I am also an artist, graphic designer, furniture designer, and I paint.

Claire Long

Esthetician

I was born in San Francisco, and grew up in Seattle.

I have been an esthetician for 8 years.

I have worked with Arezzo since it opened in 2002.

I have trained with Aveda, Dermalogica, Yonka of Paris, Epicuren, Jurlique and Eminence. I have gone through extensive training with these product lines and continue to train with Eminence. Eminence is my chosen product line that I use in all of my services. Eminence is a certified organic line from Hungary.

I love doing facials and waxing, especially eyebrows. I also do a lot of microdermabrasion, enzyme and chemical peels.

Waxing men – they are babies!

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and family. I love to cook and read, although my true passion is shopping!

Jillian Philipps

I have been a hair stylist since 1990.

I have worked with Arezzo since it opened in 2003.

I have taken several specialty color and cutting classes from Framesi, Schwarzkopf, Wella and Goldwell.

I specialize in color, highlights and corrective color. I can fix any color or highlight problems.

My goal is to educate my clients about their hair and the products they need to achieve their ultimate style.

Deanne Hunnicutt

I am from Encinitas, CA.

I have been a hairstylist for 27 years in the North County area.

I came to Arezzo Salon and Spa in June of 2007.

I attended a week long academy with Gary Gerard. I have attended at least 15 of Redken’s 4 day advanced training symposiums usually taking place in Las Vegas.

Missy Toler

I am originally from Minnesota and I have been in California since 1997.

I have been a stylist for 24 years.

I have been with Arezzo since it opened in 2003, and I truly enjoy the people I work with and all my clients.

As a hairstylist, I am required to refresh my mind and keep a sharp edge on today’s styles. I continually attend color technique and cutting classes. One of my favorites was the Goldwell Color Weaving Class. I also have my Applied Associates degree in Interior Design, which I have used in both design and in the salon.

I love doing color. I use the Goldwell Color line, which I love because they also offer great education. Enhancing my clients’ natural beauty with color is my passion.

Perms

I recently got married, so I love spending time with my husband and our 6 children. We have a big family and lots of fun. I still use my interior design degree to design model homes and staging for resale, if there is free time to spare. What I love the most is being a mother and a wife.

I am originally from Denver, CO. I moved to the area when I was 5.

I have been a stylist for 5 years.

I have worked with Arezzo since 2006.

I trained under a Vidal Sassoon stylist for 6 months. I have taken extensive cutting and color classes to continue my education.

What I love most about doing hair is being able to bring color, cut and style together to create a look that is stylish, beautiful, and leaves the client feeling fabulous.

I don’t enjoy doing perms and shampoo sets.

I like to hanging out with my family, going camping and shopping.

I’m not a big fan of perms (I think that comes from having naturally curly hair and HATING it!).

I like to read, go on long walks with my husband and our dogs, and putter around in the garden.

Jutta Lehmer

I was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Canada, and raised in Thousand Oaks, California. I moved to North County in 1982.

I’ve been doing hair since 1979.

I have been here since the opening of the salon in 2002.

I had individual training under Doug Palmer, a well-known stylist in Thousand Oaks. I also had intensive training under Gerry Tyler, who was the stylist of Pat Benatar, in the San Fernando Valley.

I love working with blondes. Honey blondes, sandy blondes, beach blondes, platinum blondes or soft caramel highlights, I love it all. After all, blonds DO have more fun!

Up-do’s really scare me!

I enjoy traveling and social atmospheres. I love spending time with my husband and my children. Although, my granddaughter Cody takes up most of my time!

Sandy Risley

Hair Stylist

I was born in Oklahoma and lived all through the Midwest. I have been in Southern California for 33 years.

I have been a hairstylist for 30 years.

I have been at Arezzo Salon since 2002.

I have taken many classes and seminars through the years, and continue to do so. I am currently taking extensive cutting classes with Rusk and advanced coloring with Goldwell for the latest in styles and trends.

I love haircutting and doing color. The color line I choose to use is Goldwell. I enjoy working with my clients, and giving them my suggestions on the style they want to achieve.

I don’t enjoy up-do’s.

I love spending time with family, cooking, and going on power walks.

Lucy Hatefi

I am from Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

I have been a stylist since 1995.

I have been working with Arezzo Salon since November 2004.

I specialize in the latest color treatment techniques and with over 10 years of licensed cosmetology experience, I provide the finest hair care services and products available in a timely and professional manner. I have expert knowledge of the best color lines and experience in mixing colors for all stages of application. I apply specialized techniques to create styles for all ages and gender, using premium products.

I am a San Diego native.

I have been creating personalized hairstyles for my clients for 30 years.

I have been with Arezzo since 2002.

I attended the Llongures Academy in Barcelona, Spain and have trained with the Rusk Hair Cutting Systems. I have had education in hair coloring with Framesi, Redken and Goldwell. Attending hair shows and classes keep me inspired and up to date with the latest trends.

I enjoy creating hairstyles that fit my client’s personality and lifestyle. I believe that communication between stylist and client is the key to great results, whether the style is funky or classic.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love to sail and ski, and I can be found at the local lagoon trails whenever I get the chance.

I was born in Las Vegas, NV and I grew up in Las Vegas and in Boulder City, NV.

15 years.

I started at Arezzo in 2005.

I have trained with Repechage, Academie, Sothy's, Yonka, Epicuren, Sundari, Decleor, Eminence and PCA. The product line that I favor most is PCA (Physician's Choice of Arizona), it is a clinical treatment line that is very effective for antiaging. I also use Eminence which is a certified organice line from Hungary. I have had extensive training w/PCA Peels, and I have worked at several exclusive resorts which require extensive training as well. I continually take courses to stay current and attend the skin care industry shows.

I love everything I do, facials, shaping brows, waxing, bikini sugaring,PCA Peels, enzyme Peels, airbrush tanning, spawhite teeth whitening, ear candling and makeup. I thrive on pampering my clients. It is very gratifying for me to see my clients happy after their treatment or service.

I love all animals and do alot of animal rescue, I enjoy hanging out with my family and cooking for them.

Colleen Macdonald

I was born in Long Beach California, and moved to Vista at 6 months old and grew up here in North County.

I have been a hairstylist/colorist for 29 years Love it!

I started here in February 2002. I left in May 2008 and am now recently back for good! I missed my family and friends.

I start learning coloring techniques with Sebastian International in the early 80’s. I attended Vidal Sassoon. Then learned color by Redken, Goldwell, Schwartzkopf. Learned spiral perms weaving techniques and color techniques for men also. Fun creative wild looks too.

I really enjoy being creative. Hair to me is an art. Color is my favorite service to offer, reds, blondes, brunettes, weaves all over color, peek-a-boo lights, low lights creative color ideas and designs. Cutting hair weather just a slight trim to fun rock star looks, texturizing, and razor cuts from short to long styles. Formal styles for prom and special occasions like weddings. On site especially for you! Let me take care of all your hair needs for that special day! It is so fun!

I have to say not many, except chemical straightners.

I enjoy my son the most. Watching him play baseball. I love to sing, karaoke or singing live and recording in a studio. When I can make time I love to draw trees. I hope to visit Redwoods some day. I love to crochet, that is mental therapy for me. I love my big 18lb cat “Yankee”. Oh and I still love the Yankees’!

Kalyn Sieminski

I was born in La Jolla, CA and continue to live in Northern San Diego, CA.

I have been a Hair Stylist since 2008.

I have been a part of the team at Arezzo Salon since 2009.

I believe education is very important. I continue to take classes in order to keep up to date on the latest hair color and style trends. I graduated from the Bellus Academy of Beauty and Spa where I also achieved my certification in the Vidal Sassoon way of Cutting. Although I mainly use L'Oreal Hair Color, I am educated in Wella, Redken and L'Oreal. I am a certified INOA (no-ammonia) hair colorist. I am also certified in HairLocs Hair Extensions. The HairLocs Hair Extensions do not cause damage to your own hair and do not involve gluing, sewing, braiding or heat. I assisted under Deanne Hunnicut, a hair color specialist, who taught me the Redken color line along with many tricks of the trade. I also assisted under Kristen Cieslak where I learned many highlighting techniques and the L'Oreal Color line.

I especially enjoy Highlights and blondes. I use a no-ammonia lightener, which provides up to the lightest blonde you want while leaving your hair un-damaged, healthy and shiny. I also enjoy wedding/formal styling following Martin Parsons techniques, Vidal Sassoon cutting, blow-dries and HairLocs hair extensions!

I feel relaxers and perms are too harsh on the hair, and some are non beneficial to your health so I choose not to do them. However I do refer clients to trusted stylists specializing in them if they need.

I enjoy spending time with my husband and family. Most of my off time is spent helping my husband at his family owned microbrewery Iron Fist Brewing Company. I love to travel and spend time outdoors as much as I can.

Carole Carmona

Carole Carmona, a hair stylist for more than 15 years, finds it most rewarding when a client leaves feeling beautiful from the inside out. The inspiration behind her career came when she was never able to get what she asked for from her own stylist. Carole knew that if she became trained herself that she could then fulfill the needs of others in getting exactly what they want for their beauty, image and self-esteem. She considers herself to be very artistic and a good listener, which has always resulted in her ability to not only create an updated look, but one that suits your individual lifestyle.

Carole is a Certified Hairlocs International, Inc. Extension Expert. Her training includes color classes from Redkin, as well as the Matrix Opti-Smooth hair re-texturizer. Having recently relocated to San Diego from Las Vegas, where she was born and raised, Carole travels between the two cities to service all of her clients. Moving forward she would like to grow her San Diego client base as well as use her talents in the beauty industry to give back to her new San Diego community. Carole, a wife and mother herself, has participated in many charity “cut-a-thon” events and would love to partner with someone to help military wives and unemployed women receive professional beauty services at no cost, to get prepared for a home-coming, or a job interview. Halicia Gonzalez

Color Specialist, Hair Stylist

Los Angeles is where I was born, but San Diego is where I call home.

Over the last 20 years I have had the pleasure to work with a great set of clients from all over San Diego and Orange County.

I have been with Arezzo since the salon opened in 2002.

I received my initial training and education at Lakewood Beauty Academy in 198X and then worked at a Vidal Sasson Educated salon for over 10 years as the in-salon educator for all of the stylists. I also was a color educator for a major coloring line where I was invited to salons across San Diego to teach color education/techniques to stylists. I am certified in the following Vidal Sasson courses: Classic Haircutting, Corrective and Creative Coloring, and Trend Color and Cutting in Unison.

I enjoy all aspects of my career, but I truly love working with color. Nothing is better than creating a great precision haircut with a creative color that compliments the style and person.

I am probably not the person to come to for an updo, I don't mind doing them but it is something I don't too often.

I enjoy spending time with my two beautiful boys. I love to read, go to movies, travel, and the beach is one of my favorite places to spend time.
